Hi, I have been racing online and it seems that other cars can catch me like I am sitting still. For instance at Bahrain, in a ligier js p320, I can turn off the last corner onto the main straight, I am halfway to turn one and I see a car just turning the corner, by time I get to turn one the car is on top of me. These guys are blowing my doors off, does everyone just have a better setup. I got cars beating me 12 seconds a lap in a lot of cases for instance at Bahrain. I took a ride in the race winners car on replay at l was running my hardest and he was behind me running half throttle. I have been racing for like 23 years so I am not a noob, I just don't understand how I am basically no good and in the way. Anybody else in the same situation or anyone got out of the same situation? Any hints? Thanks for any help? Steve
Have you checked that your pedal inputs are working properly? Sounds like your brake is on a few percent all the time.
Are you just racing against LMP3 cars? The car zooming by could be a LMP2 Oreca or Ligier or one of the many Hybrid cars like the Vanwall?
Yes I have checked it, I have a g923 set up. I can add this out of 20 cars in the last race I qualified last and 15 cars were 10 seconds faster.
No I am racing against the same cars, the ligier js p320 and the norma, I gained about a second using the norma.
Sorry, I wasn't asking you lol. Just wondering how dave had not read or had forgotten that you're racing online, so AI isn't related...
Are u driving the car in Low Downforce setup? You can choose between different base setups when you choose the car. HDF, LDF or LMLDF iirc
I not looking at it right now but I did probably had hdf selected but I did change the set up to my own which I did get down out of the wind. I am going to go and do some testing today with the low down, I really need to work on brakes also, alot of understeer making me brake early. I do also notice when looking at the replays from the cockpit the winners and top runners are driving out of control and on the edge every lap.
Exit speed is really important before a long straight like Bahrain start/finish. So you might also just not take that last turn quick enough
Hi, Let me ask you this if you know, If I choose the ldf setup let's say. The setup that is loaded is the default setup so no matter which one I pick all the settings are the same, I am confused about how that works and haven't found anything about it, I went to customize and force setup but not understanding what is happening there, I have had rf2 for a while but probably under a year so I am new but not so new I have learned a lot, confused as to how these setups are working. Thanks Steve
Cars are also sometimes hunting me down when I am trying to sleep. And I can't run away. Probably must get faster, more efficient somehow.
When you choose different car options, the setup items do not change. What DOES change are items like the front winglets which are removed for LDF. So the LDF should have more understeer entering corners compared to the HDF. This might require increasing the front downforce settings in the garage.(or reducing the thinner rear wing used in the LDF car) Or adjusting ride height, or....or....
Ah, I see now. Having a bit of a snap loose problem, I softened the rear bar and had to bump up the spring after that, kinda has that snap loose problem like you broke a shock or spring coming out of a slow corner when you hit the throttle. I am working out the kinks, had to change the steering, had to take it off of software, that made a big difference. I also set the min max pedal settings, seems to have made a difference, I had the wheel preset on and never tried setting those as far as I can remember, they were on 50%.
