Hi. Why do you lose more tires if there are more online players on the server?

Could it be more rubber building up in the track thus more grip?

Do you really ? But if you do, could it be that competition makes you drive harder ?

By the way, one similar weird thing I noticed (idk if it is true or false) myself, but there were couple of times when car handled worse online to me. On same settings. But these were very few times.

handling issues could be due to online lag, not necessarily your own connection.

it is a condition caused by your internet connection. Far more common in t he old days of copper telephone line internet connections using modems that barely achieve 2400 baud speeds. If you have cable internet, you really shouldn't have too many problems. Unless the kids are playing games and the spouse is watching a movie.
One thing you could try is to set your connection speed in rF2 to a slower rate. This prevents the game from trying to send more information than your connection is capable of processing. You can change the upstream and downstream speeds in the NETWORK options on the 1st screen that pops up for Settings(the Gear Icon)
Finally, if you are using a wireless connection to your computer, you might want to snake a good Cat 6 or Cat 8 cable to your computer.

Don't use wireless links for gaming or anything sensible to lag.

It is interesting to work well in practicing mode, but race when more people play on the server consumes much more rubbers

Some official (beta) online sessions , at least in intermediate level - have tire wear set to x2.
Just read the session settings on the screen before joining the session
