The AI improved a lot, but it would be great if they didn't make all the times in 1 tenth of a second, there should be half a second difference per lap, this would make the races much more realistic and they wouldn't be so robots. More overruns would also be generated.

That's what the ai limiter adjustment is for, but it doesn't seem to work.

It works, but what it does is make the first one go slower, the ideal would be a greater lap-by-lap variable regardless of the position.

It would be nice if the strength of the ai cars could be adjusted individually like in Forza Motorsport. For example, ai car 1-100, car 2-98, car 3-96 and so on. This would spread out the field a little, or you could create realistic competition with just a few different teams, not the whole field just like in real life.

With a little variable it is solved, there is no pilot in reality who makes all the laps the same

It depends on the type of competition.
In F1, for example, the pilots have a target and most of them do the lap in that target +-1 tenth.

I am not sure i understand? This can be done via a combination of the talent file,ai mistakes and ai limiter.

    You can do:
    1) set speed level per ai in the talent file
    2) set the minimum skill level of the ai in the talent file
    3) set the ai mistakes level in the player file
    4) set the ai range in the game or player file

With step 1 you set the expected speed per ai. So if its 4 cars you can set:
    2 at 90 speed
    1 at 50 speed
    1 at 30 speed

In step 2 you can set the minimum speed,so for the 2 ai's with 90 speed you could set 1 with a minimum speed of 80 and 1 with 50.
The way i understand it is that the ai will have a different speed every raceweekend, but they dont drop between the minimum. So both these ai's can be 90 but only 1 can be between 50 and 80.

That should allready create variance. Then with mistakes you can add in a bit more reality to your liking.
