[REL] 397HUD alternative versions

Modification of the original 397HUD Full.

Since the HUD can't be moved freely around the screen, the goal was to make different versions to suit as many tastes as possible, and maybe more will be added in the future. It's done for 16:9 monitors, triples or single.


The current eleven versions available are:


-- 397HUD ALT wich has a smaller Tach bar (hotkey 5) reworked and placed at the bottom left corner of the screen. The Message box will appear right above when an action requires it.
Stats bar (hotkey 4) is placed under the virtual mirror and Chat box will appear on the mirror, toggle via hotkey T.

-- 397HUD ALT DELTA Similar to the Alt version, placed bottom left as well, Track position icons are linked, so this stuff is available via hotkey 4. Some basic race info is available below the virtual mirror along with a new Delta Bar, you can hide or show them through the hotkey 5.

-- 397HUD BT is a compact and smaller version of the Tach Bar (hotkey 5) settled at the bottom of the screen and centered. Chat box moved under the Status bar (hotkey 4) available by default via hotkey T.

-- 397HUD BT NARROW placed at the bottom and centered as well, with different Revs Tach, tighter and smaller than BT. Status bar below the virtual mirror.

-- 397HUD TOP WM has the Tach bar (hotkey 5) and Stats bar (hotkey 4) at the top of the screen, usefull for those who does not like to use the center virtual mirror.
Don't forget to press the hotkey 3 until you hide that center virtual mirror.

-- 397HUD TOP is the version wich has the Tach bar (hotkey 5) placed below the center virtual mirror and Stats bar (hotkey 4) at the bottom of the screen.

-- 397HUD EDGES DELTA. This Hud is separated in two parts and placed down at the edges of the screen. On the left side you will see the info about current and fastest laps, rain percents and fuel info. On the right side pedal gauges, position on track, laps, time remaining, current gear and string, battery and regen and P2P and DRS icons. Up, below the virtual mirror you will find the track position icons and a delta time bar.

-- 397HUD FULL SPLIT CENTERED It's the same as the original default "397HUD Full Split" but the Tach has been moved up to not cover the Dashboard of the cars.


--------------- LITE versions without DRS, P2P and regen info, to race with classic cars mainly.


-- 397HUD LITE The Tach bar is below virtual mirror with the minimun important info possible and the Stats bar is placed at the bottom with also the information about current lap and fastest laps of the session.

-- 397HUD LITE DELTA very similar to the previous version but with a delta bar to clearly see if you are improving or worsening your lap time.

-- 397HUD LITE BT with small changes from the Lite version but placed at the bottom of the screen. All info is there, except the Stats bar wich is below the virtual mirror.

Updated and renamed on Steam Workshop as "397HUD alternative versions":

- Added version 397HUD ALT wich has the Tach bar (hotkey 5) reworked and placed at the bottom left corner of the screen. The Message box will appear right above when an action requires it.

Available on Steam workshop, automatic update.

This compact hud is very interesting.
Is it possible in future to have an alternative version in the bottom centre of the screen?
(Like official hud but more compact and more in the bottom of the screen)

P.s. Maybe you can evaluate an alternative, to make it a little smaller, to move the bar with position, lap, delta, ect ... under the virtual mirror

 

In that case, the easiest way would be to modify the 397HUD Full split, and place the Tach bar at the bottom of the screen.

P.s. There are as many options to place it anywhere as users have rF2

Sure, because it's not done yet. That was just a copy and paste into a screenshot of the Alt version, moving the Tachometer to the right, a test at Mauro's request.

is it possible to have a version for classic and historical cars?
something like this, without p2p, drs and energy:

 

We have a space problem if we do that. Let's suppose you do a race with the finish criteria by laps, then you need enough space for all the laps to be shown. rF2 limits race laps to 1500, I don't think anyone does that long races but who knows . So Then, you can move that information of current position, laps and delta time (even the percentages of water) up just below the virtual mirror and link it with the Tach bar through the 5 key or with the stats bar through the key 4 and thus be able to narrow the entire tachometer. Or, we can also remove the drs, p2p and battery, and keep the width of the tach bar without having to put the information of the laps and the rest up there.

Hi Csaba.
It is not a feature that is implemented in the game HUD. You can see it once you enter in the boxes through the setup options in the Wheels and Brakes Tab. Maybe a third party tool, like SimHub or Tiny Pedal can show that.
