Same problem here with any workshop item. It can happen with game already launched ... instant crash. No mini dump file ... rage quit I need to wait from Steam to finish downloading the new item and eveyrthing is fine. I just check my bandwidth usage and when down, i can restart rF2 without issues. It wasn't like that before new content manager.
Make sure all your content installation including all Pending Updates has been completed. I had to refresh some of the installs several times to get them to stick.
Everything was OK for almost a week. Just one click on Subscribe on any item and game quits instantly and can't be restarted till Workshop item is downloaded by Steam. For me, it seems Steam kills the game by downloading instantly the data and the game is kind of "surprised". I will try to add a trace file ...
Same problem here. When I try to install content from Store Content the game starts the download but crashes to desktop. The download continues in the Steam Client and the content can be installed after the download is completed and the game started again.
