If you are using the old menu/gui, you must be using an old version of RF2. You should opt out of steam beta's by selecting 'none'.
As rF2 continues to march forward, you will lose the ability to run more and more content as the old UI will not contain the updates required by the newer cars. Apparently you are already experiencing this. The great sound work by @doddynco which takes advantage of the new sound engine may be one of the areas where you get left behind.
I don't even keep the old versions sorry. Once I'm happy that changes are successful and nothing is broken, all the backups get updated too. You're missing out both on the new RF2 updates and the updates to the HE edition, which are both substantial.
I think v0.31a. I'm not totally sure sorry, my changelog only goes back until 0.35 which is after the sound update.
Looking on the comments on the Steam Workshop page, I'm not the only one experiencing issue with a lack of power. I picked the Ligier and barely got the thing to 200 kmph on the long straight at Jacarepagua. Lap times of 1'51 in quali shouldn't be pole, compared to the real life 1' 25.5. Any plans to have a look at this chief ? or is there a simple fix
Sorry mate, my hard drive failed this summer a large part of content was lost. I could only recover LE 0.9 and LE 0.97
