Surely is better than springs, but the problem with G27 pedals are 2:
1 is the 256bit resolution of the pedals, the other is that potentiometers are not consistent enough. In the years I've customized the pedals, for starter with a usb cable (Leo bodnar) that should up the data resolution to 1024 bits, then with a load cell and a signal converter for it.
The pedals are quite a easy base to customize.

What's the difference between this model and the (already published from 2019) porsche 911 gt3 cup, in terms of physics / tyre upgrade?

Should i go for the 992 cup which (i assume) has the latest tyre updates?

Does the 911 have the same tyre upgrades?

They're different cars, more important than the tyres. The 991 doesn't have the latest tyres, the 992 has. But everything isn't tyres, tyres, tyres, tyres,...

The Porsche 991 is a car known because of its special handling with the engine in the rear acting as a pendulum in the turns. The 992 has a bit of that behavior but not as exaggerated and more controlled.

In the real world, the 992 has a slightly larger engine, has a wider body with more pronounced Aero and wealth of changes through out much of the chassis. Both the 991 and 992 are considered 'driver's cars' since they don't allow ABS or TC and neither car has the downforce of a fullblown GT3. Everything happens slower in the CUP cars, you have to brake sooner, shift more precisely etc.
If you don't like the 991, chances are the 992 will only be a little more favorable. You might want to pass or wait for a sale sometime in the future.

    @davehenrie thanks for the comment

I was talking more about any differences in handling and tyre models (between the 2 cars) and if there is any need to buy the 992 car (or stay to the old cup and wait for an update)

992 tires are better imo. i love both, but prefer the 992.

The last one is really excellent, the first one has a very big potential, which means that I will use it when it is updated (in particular at the physics and setup level).

That's the main question: Will S397 (ever) update the old cup? o_O Or they will remain in the new (992) car?

If you don't like the 991, I don't think an update will fix that. That car should drive differently to a GT3 or the 992 because they're different IRL too.

I don't see the 991 getting 'updated' as it already hits it's performance/handling targets. The only possible change might be getting whatever tire file improvements as the S397 programmers continue to evolve the tire physics. But realize, the GT3 cars have had the same tires for years. There really isn't a reason to 'update' the 991. It will not magically become the 992.

Best car in rfactor2 so far…. Only concern is the tire degradation to high… after 15 laps I’m at 78%!

Anyone notice an odd behavior on the ffb? Seems to me that caster works well on turn in but there's something off when you enter in pendulum and weight transfer causing, I'm my perception, a shift outward on the ffb... this behavior seems not to be working... also theres a tendency to wheel self-center that currently not working very much.
    Anyone share this perception?

Sounds like inverted ffb (-/+ 0-100%). Try going the opposite direction in ffb strength.

Is there anything different regarding the seating position in this car?
I cant seem to get my seat up as high as I can in other cars and its hindering my view a bit...
Any way to change this in json maybe?
