I hope this is useful to anyone trying to make suspension in the spreadsheet, and might clear up any confusion surrounding bumpstops. It took me ages to get my head around this so hopefully I can save someone else the time and confusion.
I think some form of hard limit is at the end of the whole pushrod length, something that you never will get to really. Would be neat to have something proper though. I have tested things with a short push rod, and it caused the whole suspension to bend when it reached the end.
Very interesting. I may do some experiments around that. If I set the bumpstoptravels bump to some some 30mm (so to not hit the ground) or so, then compeltely remove the bumpstops, the travel stopping at 30mm would indicate a hard limit. I'd really like to see damage added to the suspension. I.e when a certain load is reached on a wishbone/pushrod.
