Porsche 992 gt3 cup 2022

i am unable to enter the 992 cup V1.03

it says an unknown basemod needs to be installed

i have tried un installing and re installing

please advise what needs to be done

 

What are you entering? A server? The CS?

I assume not single player mode?

 

yes muliplayer mode - its the same problem with both 992 servers

i was not able to download the content to connect to the CS lmp3 server either

i tried the renn simulation canadian motorsport park and it downloaded and connected fine

any suggestions what to try / delete ?

 

have you downloaded any skins/mods for the 992?

 

not that i am aware of - how do I check ?

 

Check what's in your Folder ..\rFactor 2\Installed\Vehicles\Porsche_992_GT3_Cup_2022
There should only be the Subfolders 1.02 and 1.03.
If there are more, delete them and try again.
If you did not subscribe to anything 992 related, it should work.

 

the 992 folder does nto exist in the vehicles directory
it has not been able to install the package

no - the server says its free ??

 

@Gadget11 That is a good Reason why it doesn't work: if you don't own it, it can't be installed.

 

Also while you're at it you should have the mod manager pointing at the correct folders; ie your working Dir is pointing to the /bin64 folder


It should point to the rF2 root folder;

Yes, although he LFM page gives clear information about the required mods and how to install them.

Oh, sorry, I thought you were trying to enter LFM. Maybe because of the "it's free" sentence, I don't know.

 

I actually got "unable to install basemod" error 2 days ago when trying to connect to the 992 free server (S397 server).
My friend who i managed to get to buy the 992 porsche had same.
i have skinpacks for league series installed so i tought it must have been that, but my friend just bought it and got the same message...?
we eneded up going to a league server because of this, and tonight i had a league race so i havent had time to investigate.i will try tomorrow to connect to the S397 server and see if i can. will report back here after that.
