I was just going to revisit this thread to see if the M2 finally got its gremlins looked after. Still not the case I see...
It's basically one of the best official cup cars in the game, why didn't it get revised yet since it was launched in December 2019 to sort out the FFB rattling and some other issues mentioned in here?

Is this car optimized for rainy races? AI doesn't get wet tires...

Is there a skin pack for this car? I'm racing it a lot lately to improve my driving, and I would love to have a colourful grid .

Maybe it's language barrier, but this is how I understand you:
At start I thought the car was great, then I've read people complain for the lack of features in other cars, so I decided that RF2 is a cheap shot.

My suggestion is to not care what other people say, the car turn left and right, has pedals and gears, there is all I need to drive! The car is fun to drive and sensitive to setup changes, is rewarding to race against the clock and against che AI, has a complex behaviour at grip limit with suspension pumping , tankslapping and all the funny things that try to kill you. How can someone not love this car?

I've have had beers that costed more and I liked far less than this car.

What exactly are you missing in this vehicle?
Ok, new Shaders would be fine.
Otherwise, this car is awesome for me.
I love it for his behaviour and physics.
It's a real challenge to master this car.
    The perfect school car.

Some of the S397 rF2 content could do with some updates but, most of those seem to be relatively minor issues, imo.
For those that appreciate rF2 physics, ffb, new audio, etc., accepting some issues may not pose a major obstacle but, it's like that for every single sim if you think about it.

Comparing rF2 content prices to iRacing, it seems like a very fair deal, especially considering how the market plays into the overall picture. On the other hand, comparison to AC is quite a different story but, one with its own compromises, none the less.

ABS causes major FFB rattling in your steering wheel, tyre screech sound bug in replays and the dashboard leds are over exposed at night.

Oh yeah, the ABS vibes are crazy with this car. I did notice that long ago but, thought it must have been fixed by now.:D

You have to mess with the brakes very much to achieve that rattling, and I don't think it's the ABS but the front suspension bouncing the tires on and off the ground.

This extremly depends on the wheelbase. With my fanatec csw 2 it was almost unbearable. With my dd it's fine. If it's the base itself or the advanced setting options in fanalab? I don' know.

Must be base then as I wasn't using Fanalab. Belt driven vs DD then perhaps?

in ACC the same car rattling a lot if gain at 100% but not at breaking so i just lower ffb gain at 60% on my csl elite but something happens in
    ACC aswell
    might be a car thing

How do you know you're asking to fix the sim and not the car itself?
