It's a different car, so yes. This will be sold separately, at least for a while.

The letdown in the announcement is not using Sting for testing...

You owe no one an apology, and I in turn apologise for not making the joke more obvious :p

Well you´re talking to a ex musician, and one who also worked In the music Industry (stage manager), and need I say I was about to say that besides the mentioned Sting I don´t know what Sting testing could be, but for some reason I didn´t. Ok now I can hahaha :D

To be fair though, I don´t get what Sting has to do with a ace up there sleeve, unless of course he´s another famous M. Fasstbender like who also likes to race In a Porsche

I have some of Stings solo work and of course I enjoyed The Police when I was 17 when they released there second album, but I am more of a fan of Stewart Copeland as a musician. Great drummer!

What differences from 3800cc to 3900cc do you have to pay for an updated version?

You didn't read the article huh?

(but no, you don't have to pay for anything. Especially if you think it's the same car, you literally have no reason to get it)

You cant be serious to ask that question with a straight face...cars are not based on the same car...old one is 991.2 and new is 992...just even that is resulting in a way different car. On top of that there are multiple differences mechanically and aerodynamically between the cars. Cars do not share a single panel in common. So in no way shape or form is the new one a update on the old one. That just between the two cars in reality.

Modeling wise there is i bet nothing that can be reused from the old model as all body panels parts etc are different.
So a fully new 3d model different every way .... in no shape or form can be called an update.

I was amazed about the same thing for the bentley gt3 old vs new...those 2 cars do not share a single piece between each other maybe some displays or electronics.

porsche cup car truly modern version of old school racing car , thats why i love them. The driving is aggressive, heavily involved , u just drive over kerbs 2 wheeling. supercup have very limited setup options , the camber are ridiculous -5 , -6 degrees just like u see in some old race car (like nissan r32 gr.a race car).
a fantastic video of this car driven in anger >>

Now that we getting 992 cup , a request for S397, update the 991 cup to have all latest improvements to rf2 (new tyres , onboard traction light, sounds , brake & engine cooling physics etc). maybe this car will be its playmate. it might be slower on some tracks but faster on other due to low drag and light weight.

P.S : having a real driver and team verify the car's behavior really makes this car compelling.
