Hello, i have multiple question about rfcmp versions and updates ...

Let say i have uploaded a car pack in my workshop items. It is version 1.05C22.
What if i modify the rfcmp file without changing the version number ?
Will Steam "refresh" the item ?
At this point i think all subscribers need to unsubscribe and re-subscribe to get the good one
And i think i have made the mistake ...

What is the procedure to update a versioned item ?

Do i have to make a version 1.05C22b ? What will become the previous 1.05C22 ?

Also, if i remove the item from the Workshop, will the item stay on subscribers Installed folders ?

    Thanks.

I just made a test and removed a few skins in a pack.

When i relaunched the game a few times, i finally got a "Synchronizing ...", and bam, the rfcmp has updated and still on 105C22. The skins i removed in the mas file were not there anymore ...

It looks like it updates by itself properly. Just need to launch rF2 a bunch of times.

So it is straight forward. Just let users relaunch the game a few times and they get the right datas.

Server need to uninstall/reinstall the package and all is good.

It will update, but it can cause issues with rfmods, so it's not recommended.

Yes, thats why servers need to be reset and uninstall and reinstall the packages properly.
Some players will also have to relaunch their game multiple time ... It doesn't seem to update on very first launch.

Sometimes it takes a while for the update to come from the workshop. If you verify local files, it will download it after it.
