Regarding to the two other threads mentioning some sound issues with BTCC cars. I got these disturbing sounds also in the race setup screen. There is not only the recurring motor starter sound but also a kind of "plopping" background noise. Happens probably only with cars with new sounds. Tested also USF2000 and Ferrari 488 GT3 - no issues. Sound issues are reproduceable I tried to record the noises with my mobile: BMW at Brands Hatch -> https://mega.nz/file/e1lxUY7L#7ei3V4l19IYU6DoC_x3bKofcnBmqDJHg-bUNNAZmAxg BMW at BH with accerlerated time -> https://mega.nz/file/r4tHFaLT#zhEjrnD5ZRnfHVJGbHfQmx9E0Goh17MD2URUi244LfU Ferrari 488 GTE at BH -> normal time and accelerated time -> https://mega.nz/file/roknSb5K#HuLonwAN4oKmlrGtHHj0D2TxDYWjgvVGY0mg3Siwdho 256 audio channels. Sound issue on headphone (external USB soundacrd) and also on desktop speakers (PCi Soundblaster Z). Changing audio channels to 32 has no effect
Did some more tests. All recordings above were made in private practice. So no sounds from other cars are audible. Going back to v1130 = no sound issues. Then back to v1131 (also RC) = sound issues. Again to v1130 = no sound issues and again back to v1131 = sound issues. Vanwall, Austin Mini and Caterham are affected, Tatuus FT-60 is not
I have exactly the same symptoms as you. A constantly repeating loud wastegate sound occurs in all BTCC cars
I can confirm the sounds in pitlane for stationary cars are back. Either downshift sound or some other one, when the cars are in pits. BTCC cars certainly, probably others. I thought this had been fixed in a prior build/release? In additional, the AI cars (15 at Brands Hatch) seem to also not want to park in the garage. They park in the space at the start of the garages, in back, by the pit entrance. This means that when driving on track and going into Surtees, you can hear these noises as you come to brake. They are also picked up on the replay cameras.
