When are finally going to see ERS properly implemented? Been around for years in motor racing. All other major sims have it for quite some time, even RRE got it now. But we still can't properly simulate a modern F1 racecar?
I asked this to S397 and they answered in a blog that they are not going to implement a hybrid system until they licensed a car with that system. They have licensed the BTCC and the 2022 cars are Hybrid. These are the first Hybrid cars licensed by S397. Then, who knows...
There is a line called Push2PassHybridMap which I assume is a hint that there are plans to implement physics for a hybrid system. Guess you just have to wait and see.
It's possible, but the P2P uses the combustion engine, consuming fuel, affecting the wear of the engine. This has nothing to do with the way that a hybrid system is used by the pilot. There is no a charging system and there is no different ways to deploy the extra energy. I race in F1 leagues for more than 10 years and don't know anybody that want to use the Formula Pro in a F1 league. The Formula Pro is fantastic to drive but is a Frankenstein that doesn't convince to the F1 fans.
“hybrid” in the BTCC is push to pass or the old KERS system in f1. They’re not hybrid in the LMP1/Current f1 sense.
The important thing is that rF2 implements a hybrid system. Once the system is implemented should be posible to use in diferente ways.
