Just a wild guess, going back several years to other problems. Does your Online Name contain any non-English characters like š or ä?

I think the error is from java with the html code of the web of the competition system, because in multiplayer I have no problem to enter, on my pc I do not have java installed except what windows installs, before I did not have anything java installed either, like this that the problem goes in a java write error with the connection

@juanchioooo Did you try it with running rF2 as an Administrator?
Sometimes that helps with strange Problems.
Start Steam only, navigate to the Folder ..\rFactor 2\Launcher, rightclick on the Launch rFactor.exe and select "run as an Administrator".
Note: that opens the below shown small Window, where you have to click OK to continue.
That small Window sometimes opens in the Background.
So if you don't see it, tab through your opened Windows.
