It's a shame that the A.I simply can't thread the needle very well through the chicane (at least in the Caterham). There's always that one or two corners on every track that the AI just can't take very well and it kind of ruins the experience for me. I can put up with the choppy brake and throttle but the excessive slowing down or sloppy driving on the one corner almost makes the race pointless.

I think the AIW needs a bit of finetuning, atleast with the Caterham. I haven't tested other cars yet but I suspect that the first chicane is a bit of a problem fir the AI.

Interesting that AMS2' next DLC will include WWT and their version of the IR-18. Working together perhaps, like Reiza packs?

I feel like the Stock Car 2018 and 2018x (made by S397) should receive an update because for the oval course of WWT right now the default forced setup is the road course setup with these cars.
Until then the Darlington setup seems to be good. New Hampshire is a bit short.

edit: New Hampshire is better. The Darlington setup is super slidey.

Afraid not - can confirm both pieces of content have been developed 100% in house.

The tracks do have some very notable differences, especially evident in surface detail meshes (felt through ffb and motion effects).
I find both versions to be really satisfying drives, though. ;)

Does anyone know what a good lap time is around here in a 2018 stockcar (the in field layout)? Or would stockcars never do the in field layout?

Probably not, but they have been running some rather insane infields lately, (Charlotte???) Anyhow, Nascar has been hosting races at WWTR for some time, but this year was the first time the big Nascar Cup boys have raced there and it was on the oval.

Do you have some footage of the issues? Thanks.

@Alex Sawczuk Check XFINISH.gmt, the circle on the oval is not counted during the pit. Tested in an Indycar race at 100% distance now.

I found the Ai (Caterham Academy) are really slow threw the chicane.

Sorry, I don't have any footage of it. But the issue is that the AI kind of has a wierd trajectory through the first sweeping chicane and kind of brakes at the exit of the chicane over that little crest when the rear get's light. That was with the first version of the Caterham so I have no idea if it got fixed with the latest version. No time to check that right now though. It's easy to spot the issue though.

The AI are also way too slow around the penultimate infield corner (the sweeping tightening radius right hander). Even at 120%, they slow down too much on corner entry and go way too slow at the apex.
