It looks good, but Penske raced with a Penske chassis that year, not a Lola. I'm anticipating that when Chief gets back to this project, he'll do the Penske and March chassis.
I know, but it's just for completion now, anyhow. I can remake the skin if the Penske ever comes out.
In VR tyre textures are too grey - in my opinion the tyres should be darker. As I only race/crawl in VR somebody could check if that`s just on my side. Other mods are darker... Otherwise great as allways and a big THANKS 2 all involved
Indeed, and that is a prevalent issue on older contents being rendered now in the modern graphical engine. But it's usually easily solved with a small change on the "materials editor" by disabling "albedo correction" on the tyre texture.
I know that there is a dedicated IBL Tire shader. So that should help. I haven't looked at the materials of this mod, but I do think it would be a fairly easy fix.
I will see what my own shaders do. Are you planning to make the Penske and the March as well, @ChiefWiggum?
no thanks, that's fine with me. Are the icons coming? I have the RC v 1130 on it, like many, the cockpit engine sound is quiet, the tire noise is too loud. Track sound = awesome!
@ChiefWiggum Wow this is a lot of fun! Just had a race at Donnington National, AI was great, car handled well it was just me behind the wheel that was the weak link. I did notice an issue where the T89 is missing its car body model at medium and low detail settings. I checked your gen files and the entries are missing. I also noticed you are using the "L2IBLCARBODY" shader which is great but the skins are not albedo compliant so they can appear too bright in game. Would it be possible to increase the smoothness of the steering wheel rim mesh as it looks a little faceted? I really need to make more time to get the CART 98 update finished, then we will have early and late 90's IndyCar covered.
