Hi all, since some times, I can't access to the workshop from Steam inventory. When I click on "view workshop item", I have this error : Sorry! An error was encountered while processing your request: The item is either marked as hidden or you do not have permission to view it. The Steam support does not help : Hello, We understand your feelings and thank you for contacting Steam Support. However, Steam Support does not provide specific assistance for issues encountered while using custom Steam Workshop content. You will need to contact the mod creator for further assistance. You might also consider asking the respective community. Steam Support So, I contact the "mod creator for further assistance"... Any idea about this problem ? [EDIT] : it seems that I'm not alone with this problem. Some friends of mine searching items ID for race servers tell me that they have the same message
I have the same issue. Bought rFactor 2 from Steam on July 3. Installed and... no content. No tracks, no cars. Steam no help.
Hi i have a similar issue I received some of the recent updates but not all i got the Oreca, ferrari, cr8 but not the others (i own them all) I have tried deleting them from my install but i still get the older versions reinstalled, i tried removing the intsall files from the content directory but now I get nothing, its like i have no connection to Steam? Is there an issue with Steam ? Also you used to be able to go to inventory and view your item unsub and resub to trigger a refresh but now they are hidden not sure why? Btw I am updating content from other games successfully Any help would be appreciated
Do you possibly have a mod that is keeping them installed? The version numbers should be higher than everything else, so you should be able to see them. You can always try to verify local content on steam too.
I also have the problem with steam, when i click to view item on workshop the error in 1st message of this post.... Any fix atm?
Same problem here. I have just reinstalled Windows 11 from scratch, so I have a 100% fresh setup. I have tried, as suggested, to subscribe to new items but, still, no trace of my purchased content. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Thank you, Mangoletsi: I had not used rFactor in months and the new UI and this problem caught me by surprise and really confused me. After your suggested checks I can confirm that my content is actually downloaded and installed as expected, the only problem remaining is not being able to access the workshop page of any of the content in my Steam inventory and purchased directly from the official rFactor 2 store within Steam. Thank you once again for your support. Kind regards.
For me in game it's all fine and working. The question is: the workshop page of paied inventory content is unreachable for all users, or only few of them?! If so, something needs to be fixed
