Hoping that some one can help me, with the new menu that RFactor2 has I have found that I am unable to save the Ai Strength from 95% to 80%, once I have changed the strength on the slider bar then drive or even exit the game, the Ai are back to 95%. Can somebody please tell me how to overcome this problem so that once the slider is set to say 80% there is no save function that I can see. Many thanks in advance. Regards
Are you possibly using an old build? There is no slider bar, and for me, the AI strength stays at whatever I set it to, even after restarting the game.
I have odd problems with it too. There are 2 places in the UI you can change theses number's and both show different numbers for me...
I think this has been a thing for quite a while with the new UIs. Same as this thread https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/ai-strength-always-going-back-to-100.69502/ Don't adjust AI strength in the game settings. Do it in the session settings.
Thank you Lazza for your help, always so precious for me, it works in the session settings so before I went through the game settings and no change.
@Coutie the easy 'fix' here is to just remove the AI settings from the game settings -> gameplay menu. Having it in both places and linked properly might be better (though how many places do we really need the same setting?) but it hasn't happened since... well, a year ago I guess, so maybe someone can simply remove it from that settings screen for now...
Am I mistaken or.. the new UI has removed the option of changing AI strength in-session? Before, I could change AI strength and, even though it didn't take effect during that same session, it worked for the *following* session (for example, qualy to race). Or, I could change the AI slider and restart the weekend, and it would work. Now, I have to quit the session, change the AI setting, and re-load the track and cars...
In the old days, prior to speeding up the track loading process, I would have whole-heartedly agreed with you. However, since most tracks load for me in under a minute, I don't feel the pain as much to exit and reload. Still, ANY convenience at the track would be appreciated.
