Even with all settings including shadow blur turned up to maximum, regardless if FXAA is enabled or disabled, they look jagged like this, how come? Official Rome track. Also how could one increase the shadow render distance? From not too far away it still looks like this on objects And renders so once you are under ~100m. It is very noticable and ugly
I think it depends on your system & rez . The shadows look pretty good for me.. As rF2 evolves so does hardware & video card's ..If you have the latest & greatest you can get the most out of it but you have to pay for it ..Im glad rF2 is advancing along with the tec though
The shadow cascade system needs to be overhauled. It was work in progress years ago and then put on the back shelf, the above screen shots looks ok but when actually running there is a lot of pop up and shading in the distance. Depends on FOV but the worst is running along the barrier. Replays are the worse, the flickering on the cars as they shadow lods are drawn in. I have a 3090 and would look the same as my old 1080 so not matter how much money you through at it the only fix is the devs.
