Hello Mike, sorry to hear you are unwell, I can't imagine how your feeling but please know I and i know many others are sending you thoughts prayers and well wishes. I'm sorry I can't help with the Ai but I think I'm somewhat local to you so if there is anything I can do to help I will try and do something, just let me now.
Hi Mike hope you are on the improve soon... you have my thoughts in this tough time... Maybe watch some B12hr this weekend watching racing on this amazing track always make me feel better
Hello Mike. I am glad to read you again and, like the other guys on the forum, my best wishes. Regards mate.
We all love you Mike. Focus on yourself FIRST. Personally I'd be happy if you abandoned this project if it meant things getting back to normal for you and you popping on here to shoot the breeze.
Sorry for the lost of your wife, I was in a similar situation back in 2005, I lost my wife while working on the Adelaide track for RF1 which I had released for F1 Challenge back in 2003. It will take a few years to adapt to the new situation, just hang in there and keep working on your hobby, you are doing a fantastic job, cheers mate
Hi everyone, Looks like I am back....again Working on Bathurst and now feeling a little like me again.... I have released an update video and of course being away so long there are some new issues with the DevMode. With the latest Release Candidate, Bathurst will not load I have tried to read the MiniDump but can not at this stage...it just shows gibberish symbols. If I use the latest stable, it works, so that is good. I am thinking I will get it to a point where it can be released at a Beta ( I think I said that earlier) like V0.001 and update as I go. The biggest issue is the AI paths into and out of the rear pit area. The main AI is actually pretty good. Here is the video....
Hi Mike, great to see you again. Hope you are doing well. I wrote you a messages some time ago. I think i can help you with that.
Mike this has made my day you feeling better and “old” Bathurst still in progress, I literally cannot wait for this track… no pressure of course ha ha
Man oh Man! Great to hear from you again. There have been some changes to the way the sim exits the pits, check into the AIW threads and maybe they can help.
I can do the track cameras if you need, I have experience, I did the Nurburgring 67 and Buenos Aires cams recently.
Starting the biggest build with the James Hardie Centre and bridge. I have a very poor model from V8 Supercars 3 which is OK for getting basic dimensions but the modeling is rubbish and can't be used. I have attached some images to see where I am at. This will take a few days I guess but will be worth it. Reference photos are hard to find.
Yo Mike! Good to see you back on track (pun intended).... You might want to have a look at this site: https://www.musclecarmag.com.au/gallery/1985-james-hardie-bathurst-1000-573504 I'd gladly take over the subscription fee for a month and I'm sure, others would join. Let me know, if you'd want me to be your pay pal... Cheers! Max
@Mike Cantwell not sure if you have these or they will help you at all there from "Great Race" book for that year reach out if you want clearer pics or others from the book, it was my first trip to the mountain and I still have great memories of it... good luck with the track
