You put them in the userdata/player/settings folder of your rFactor 2 install directory, usually in the folder that belongs to.the car for which the setup is done.

good evening, SEBRING is on the competition system this week, who among you is kind enough to create a setup for the Dallara IR18 ?, it's a difficult circuit and I'm looking for a good setup for the race

Any love for the DPi, Ligier P217, URD Moyoda GR010 LMH, and Oreca07?
Specifically for LeMans, Daytona and Sebring.

@Remco Majoor Thanks for the LRP No Chicane setup for the Porsche GT3 CUP car. I had avoided that car due to the initial reviews where users found it hard to drive. My curiosity about the TENDER SPRINGS led me to buy the car and give it a whirl. I've used your setup at Portland and the Ring.(amazing top end) and other than a tendancy to snap oversteer out of some corners it feels much better than the default setup.

I'll be honest, that setup was from before the tender springs were a thing. So might be different to when I made it

Anyone have an IR-18 oval setup? Short or superspeedway. Applying the same oval setup logic that I do from other sims seems to not work at all. I'm lost lol.
And the rear spring options we have in rf2 are about 1000lbf/in lighter than what should be available for ovals. That doesn't help either.

Have you tried the default setup? It's not bad at this track. I was able to run 1:02s with it at the chicane layout.

I lowered the front springs and rear wing 1 click and raised the rear springs and front wing one click to help dial out some understeer and was able to get into 1:01s.

You could also adjust the front and rear anti roll bars and front and rear slow bump/rebound.

And laptimes are going to depend on track conditions, fuel loads, etc.

ANy suggestions in how to fix a happy tail car with the diferential?
I bought the GT3 cup in the store (1£ bargain), and I find it happy tail. I've tried everithing, except the diff, I don't know how to use it in rFactor 2.

I would suggest you to describe the problem more.
when is the car tail happy ? turn -in or corner exit or mid corner etc. Also speed and type of corner would help with answering question alot.

Watch this very detailed video from physics dev from kunos (assetto corsa) , u will figure it out afterwards....hopefully :) >>

P.S : you should also check out other videos on his channel , very very informative stuff.

Thank you so much for this! I loved Aris videos when I was trying to play ACC (I binned it because of hardware limitations).

The first comment of the video makes a good point of the whole thing. I'm going to make a chart out of this.

    Power (on throttle):

    locked diff:

    - oversteer in low speed

    - understeer in high speed

    open diff:

    - understeer in low speed

    - oversteer in high speed (or less understeer / better turn in)

    Coast (off throttle):

    open diff = more oversteer

locked diff = more understeer (high speed)

less preload = diff is more open

more preload = diff is closed

if i'm not wrong the preload itself will not change the locking values (whether it be power or coasting).
It just how sooner or later you want diff to lock.
That being said your last paragraph sums it up in easier manner
    "
less preload = diff is more open

more preload = diff is closed "

Happens at high speed corners at Paul Riccard, despite strong aero settings. Which would indicate that the diff is perhaps too open ?

i guessing this happens during turn-in because thats more typical of porsche especially at high speed.

    • higher preload could help a bit
    • brake bias more towards front
    • less front toe out (more positive value) and/or more rear toe in(i don't recommend this tbh, will wear rear faster)
    • higher rear wing will help most.
    • softer rear ARB or stiffer front ARB (although stiffer front arb will make car more reactive initially)
    • lower rear ride height
there not a lot of adjustment on porsche cup(especially supercup version). This car is basically , learn to adapt or forget about it.
