Hello My problem is that I registered in the past on the studio397 competition webpage (that doesn't exist anymore) I used my nickname instead of my real name. I remeber I had to connect my Steam account to it. Now I would like to change the real name "line" to my real name. I tried to change it in the game but when I go in to the competition page, my name is changed back to that old nickname. I read a few threads on some forums, that say change the name under the ...AppData\Roaming\.Rfactor\rfactor.name AND ...Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\UserData\player\player.json but these don't work. It seems that is saved some database that backup it every time. I turned off my steam cloud, and made a reinstall, but nothing helped me. What can I do? How can I change it permanently? Thank you! You should start a private conversation with Jimmi, detailing your current name and correct name in the system.
same problem for me. I wish to change my name in game but when I enter to competition tab my name is change back to old version. any help????
@SokoleONE You need to pm Jimmi, as above. Assuming your CS email matches your forum one. Some people are suggesting to message him on Discord, but just a few hours ago he reiterated to send him a message on here. It's a fairly manual process so I think he does them in batches.
