i saw you were testing out the Eläintarharata. was there a problem? i know the guy who converted the track from AC (original rF2 version seems to be lost)) so feedback would be welcome, unless you cancelled it b'cos of it being too small and narrow for F2's? i hope you return there with F3s ...

 

Yep, a bit short for the F2's. Was thinking of the Vintage Vees.

 

i've just taken an F2 EVE, F3 Spark and VFVee Bobsy for a spin there and have clocked the same lap time with both F2 and F3. imho it's perfect for the compact F3 Spark - everything flows!
FVees aren't out of place (unlike F2s), but in my opinion they're more dangerous than F3s at Eläintarharata (less stable on top of the hill, understeer downhill).
anyways, whatever the decision, count me in for it!

I'll have a chat with BB later today as I think we might need a change of car. Interest seems to have waned in the last couple of weeks. I'm thinking it's time for Vintage Vee, Datsuns, Cortinas, Caterham. Feel free to add suggestions just be mindful they need the following criteria:
1. No downforce
2. Crap tires
3. Crap brakes

I've put up our 2nd server with the Vintage Vee at Elaintarharata (Eltsu) to see if there's any interest.

 

Sounds like a BT20 to me. Could be a Dissenter as well.
Have you tried the American Stockcar 1966? Might be what you're looking for.

it seems like you might be using a non-workshop VVee mod, takes very long to download via server ...
as for downforce-free mods with less than perfect braking, i'd add: Mclaren M4b, Gasoline Alley, Ford vs Ferrari, AC Cobra, Renault Gordini R8, BMW 2002, Nissan Skyline 2000 GTR, Legends Cars Trophy, Kodi ZR, Ford Escort RS1800, Renault 5 Maxi Turbo, BMW E39 M5 street car, Panoz, Reliant Robin Mk1, Citroen 2CV, MAN Truck, Boxmaster, Inteceptor 2014, Toyota AE86 Club, Abarth 850, Renault Alpine A110 (old one), Trans AMs (but Dissenter is better).

 

It's Strava's workshop mod. Our getmod isn't working properly atm.

 

This week we are at Crystal Palace in the F2's.
Last week was one of those combos that seemed to click for me. Hope it stays that way...

please, why did you make that move in first lap, ttb57? you couldn't see my car or were you trying to spook me? well, you did.
5 drivers in a single race and you leave 3 of them in an accident in the second corner of the first lap... no restart? how friendly or in vintage formula camaraderie spirit is that?
i'd normally pm a fellow racer in case of a misunderstanding, but i consider you as one of the bosses, thus am asking for a public reply.

 

Have you watched the replay from both yours and my car? From your car's view I move slightly right but from my car's view it's you that moves slightly left.
I'll put up the replays later. I do remember CC telling me "car right" and I felt I held my line. At no time did I (nor would I) try and baulk. As to a restart I didn't know what had happened.
Like I said I will post the replays when I've woken up better.

 

thanks for the answer. i certainly over-reacted and then mismanaged the car, but i did at that moment feel there's an impact coming, and why i moved is visible from my cam looking at your front right wheel. from your cam it does not look to me like anything devious at all, but a somewhat delayed and then withdrawn effort to close the door.

i've done much worse though, car #21 37:10
