There are still a few small bugs here and there and room for improvement. But on the whole a good step in the right direction (forward ). Thanks guys. PS: I would still important that you can see the number of opponents in the Ai opponent menu and not always have to count the Ai opponents to then set the number of opponents.
Maybe not directly in the UI, but rF1 had loads of mod with different music when you was in the menu etc. I honestly expected it to be similar here, and not as "complicated" as @Havner showed.
I haven't actually looked for an option on this, but on the driver labels that are back now. Is there a option to show position instead of car number beside the name? The car number is nice if everyone had their own unique number, but when doing online racing with 20-30-40 drivers with a car/mod which has 4-5 liveries, there is a lot of people with the same number.
Thanks for the reply. It was about 10 minutes into a 20 minute replay that was recorded the day the new interface was updated. However, since posting, I have been unable to recreate the issue. I will provide an update if it happens again.
To be honest, I don't think the music is bad, but I find it strange that it is only in the menu, but it is not in the "garage" and when loading the track.
I cannot see the car labels using VR headset (Rift S). Is it a bug or a limitation of the feature? Nice UI by the way!
The most annoying BUGS to me,as i use a Thrustmaster TS-PC-Racer are: Preset default shows always: 1.steering effect strength = negative - so i had no FFB till it put it to positive!!!!After selecting it i have FFB but UI shows negative. 2.car specific multiplier = 100% and this is not saved per car,i always have to chang it again to my 80%,each car every time, every start of the sim. Is that really true 2022? All sims i play do that, not RF2....
The showroom is absolutely brilliant. I'm really excited. Whether Light or Silverstone, great. Currently prefer Silverstone. You can zoom really well. The old F1 cars show an incredible number of details! I only looked at cars in the showroom for 1 hour. I don't know of a better showroom at the moment. Optimal solution. The old hangar was also very good! Upgrade the game optimally! Keep it up....
rF2 ain't the other sims son. You CAN edit the allvehicles file & change all the entries with search & replace, but last I checked, that did not seem to work for me.
Hello did some run last night and no problem with my TSPC wheel Regarding your other comment it used to work so i will check it myself this morning
There is an issue with the new UI that also existed in the old UI. A.I strength setting is located in two places - in the settings page, and in the session setup area. This wouldn't be an issue if they where bound to each other (change one and the other one changes too) but they seemingly are not. This can be frustrating for obvious reasons, and will confuse the crap out of people (like me lol)! Other than that, this new UI imo is simply so much more functional than any other sim out there. I love the fact that they have retained the settings icon in the top right so at any time you can access basically anything you want. I didn't really hate the old UI - one thing where I think rF2 never got credit is that you could boot up the sim and within an extremely short amount of time (basically one click), you could be out on track and in a session. This new UI still retains a bit of that feeling where you can get out on track very fast, but not as fast as the previous UI (provided you already had your session set up). All in all though a huge improvement! I REALLY hope that rF2 can captitalize on this positive buzz around the new UI and make some more improvements to really get some momentum.
Loved this new rFactor 2 so much I went and bought all the Lunar Sale packs, thanks again S397! Fantastic sim!
if you move slider fast to left, when mouse leaves slider to the left your value will often end up with values >> 0 - the slider lacks way behind mouse. Thats a nuisance to grab it always again and move it very slowly to 0
