    It doesn't mean "no grip" though. Also perception of grip is rather interesting, in a way you have to moderate sliding. There are some older car simulations around which indeed has "no grip" but then significant amount of performance can be reached by extensive drifting. What I mean by saying "thay had grip" is that they weren't achieving performance by that much sliding, they could resist major sliding further up to the limit, but then sliding was stronger and less convenient way of powering through the turns. Although obviously older tires/cars liked higher slip angles, and greater powerslides more than modern racing tires/cars.

    By the way. The perception of grip is also relative. We make it in our minds what is reference of good grip, and it starts from there.
