`It was 20 years ago today...well..yesterday...and it was only 10 years ago, but Sgt Camaj taught simmers to Play, they'd have dig thru code & dozens of files, but if done right it was sure to bring a smile... So let me introduce to you the one and only Gjon Caaaaamaaaaj.....
This was a work of one man (former military flight engineer or something like that). They funded it (published) from some point but did not develop it. Then something happened to this man (health issues) and development stopped completely. I followed this project. Had high hopes for it. EDIT: it's even written on the steam page: Added by publisher: Development is currently on-hold. As detailed in a Steam community forum post in 2018, the one-man development person suffered a head injury and is yet to return to working on Rogue System. Obviously a purchase at this time is for the experience as it currently stands.
Indeed. Day-one purchase for me and I'm still here. I've no idea how many hours I logged before Steam, but rF2 has got to be the most played game I've ever had. Still love it! These days it's not always easy to get any seat time but I try to grab at least a couple of hours a week, and more whenever possible. I can only thank every dev who's ever touched rF2 for all the entertainment I've had.
Bought 2 Lifetime subs to rF2, the first on opening day, the second after an attempted reload failed the validation. No worries, I knew I'd get my $80 worth of fun with it. It wasn't quite ready for prime time IMO, but wow has it come a long way reaching a second acquisition - that only happens with top products. Happy Birthday if thats such a thing, and keep up the good work!
Yes Happy Birthday RFactor2. Its been so much fun. "Rfactor, Rfactor, Rfactor, Rfactor, These are a few of my favourite things. When the rain comes, when the track rubbers, when my setup change isn't bad, I just think of a few of my favourite things!
