When using the Caddy in Hypercar mode, the S397 car came within about a half second from the Acura. At 95% the AI were getting 1:37ish in the Acura and low 1:38's for the Caddy at a third party Rolex. Curiously, the DPI version of the Caddy is geared for much tighter tracks and cannot even reach 170mph on the banking. Both the Hyper Cad & the Acura reach nearly 200mph without draft help.
I tested both on Daytona and pace is very similar. Acura has the same issue that Cadillac, you can not save the setup with "No planes" option for high-speed tracks. Cadillac have a low gear as standard, so with AI is almost 2 seconds slower. But driving both cars, I think they are BOP'ed without using Hypercar option in Cadillac. Obviously you should do a good setup
Hopefully, with the launch of Daytona S397 will do a "forced setup" for the Caddy which will be triggered by selecting Daytona. The Acura could also have track specific setups to allow for offline racing to work better.
Yeah, the AI Dpi Caddys are just so speed limited by the stock gearing. They are sitting ducks for even the LMP2 cars. A track specific upgrade would be great to see.
