I have a problem with my AI drivers, they run out of fuel. I go to "unsupported/test options" in the AIW editor and pres "simulate fuel usage" Do I have to manually edit this in the AIW file afterwards? Anyone know what value to use? Thanks in advance for any help.
Thanks for the advices. Unfortunately I can´t use the skippy, it´s an indoor karting track, and very narrow.
Did you check how much starting Fuel they get with the default Setup? There can also be other Reasons, when the AI runs out of Fuel in the first Laps, like overlapping Corridors of the Pit and main Path, between the XPitIn and XPitOut Objects.
Thanks redapg, maybe that could be the problem. Manfredk2, I know, it´s easy to find the value in the AIW file, but it´s some very strange digits. I will try entering a much larger number to see if that solves the problem.
if you mean ai has different range.... I'm sure I may be corrected, perhaps it would save me time in the future LOL I have always driven the car to determine how many laps i get (use fuel acceleration to save time) then i adjust the AIW fuel number to make sure the fuel lap estimate in the garage indicates that number so the AI have the same range. if they just run out on the side of the road you have a pit path problem.
Generally, you should load the track in DevMode with Skip Barber car and then run "Simulate Fuel Usage" in AIW editor (don't forget to save AIW file). Then fuel usage base line is generated correctly.
