Hello sim racers! Can you believe it - nearly the festive season ! Following on from some recent comments I made on Discord, and the subsequent posting of those here on the forum, I wanted to take this opportunity to give you a quick update heading into the close of 2021. As mentioned earlier, unfortunately the planned items for December, including new content and updates, will now move out into the New Year. We are currently finalizing our release strategy for the next 12 months, with the intention to share something of a roadmap information post, to inform you all how we expect the coming months to look in terms of the type of things we have planned. This will be the first year we've not really done anything for December, which certainly feels strange from our point of view. We've collectively taken the decision that starting afresh in January, setting out our stall with our future plans, and rethinking how our release and communication strategy works is our best course of action for our future development plans, and allows us to be more consistent in our releases and give people an easier time understanding exactly when to expect content and updates to be released. As a side effect of, this new way of doing things should also make our roadmap posts a little more interesting and full of information, so that's always nice. As we are starting to close out for Christmas, let me take this opportunity to wish you all a wonderful festive season - enjoy the break, and let's get ready for a big 2022!
Merry Christmas Paul and everyone! Now I take a deep breath and try to let all the negative feelings and frustrations go that piled up in me this year because of the rather slow progress of rFactor 2. Reorganization is a great thing. I hope you all will succeed. You're a great guy, I just wanted to tell you this.
Happy new year to everyone… while I still enjoy rfactor2, the only Sim I used in the last 11 years.
Merty Christmas all! Nothing new on the post, I guess, but at least we know to not expect anything before the new year and I'm hoping it pays off! I surely will not leave rF2 but I will hold on buying new content if the future commitements aren't in the right areas of the simulation that have been far too long overlooked! Anyway, I'm cautiously enthusiastic!
Having read through the comments on Discord about the new stuff coming, and the fact that S397 have hired more people than have left, have left me quite optimistic about rF2s future - and that's for the first time in quite a while Happy Christmas everyone, and let's all keep our fingers crossed for Januray
Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to all rF2 racers, and especially to everyone at Studio 397. Thanks for all your hard work this year, in what are clearly very challenging times. I look forward to learning what is planned for 2022.
since rfactor 2 was acquired by another company, it has slowed down, clearly. just when we thought the sim was getting back up again.
Happy holidays and here's to hoping the game studio gets good new devs and can focus more on single player in the next year.
Guys rF2 is cheap as chips on steam, I just bought it as a Christmas present for my step dad and my boss... "You can only lead a horse to water..." Merry Christmas everyone, hopefully it's a great 2022 for rF2!
No November update because we would receive some new things in December.... Now the new things planned for december are being moved to next year, and only God knows exactly when. This, combined with what's hapening with MSG, the ammount of people that left S397, are all bad signs that show that things are not going well... I can only wish you guys a merry christmas and a happy new year. This game is unfortunately being uninstalled from my pc until something changes significantly.
Just to clear something up about MSG being sued, this is not something that just happened, this was even before their acquisition of S397. And Devin has said that more people joined than that left S397. This probably isn't shown instantly in the progress, but it does bode well for the future.
Merry Christmas! All I have to say about updates is, like the release of Le Mans, under promise and over deliver.
