Newbie to RF2, been playing other racing games for years.
Everything seems to be working on, wheel, pedals, VR etc.

I have an odd problem though that I can't find anyone else is having, so I'm either being very thck and missing something obvious or I've found a unique issue.

What happens in I manage to get out on track, have an outlap and then a couple of timed laps with the announcer/spotter reporting my times. Then, nothing. I can keep lapping but no further lap times are registered. Restart the session and I get lap times again for a couple of laps then nothing.

It's hard to improve if you don't know what the timings are.
    I have no mods installed.

Are you getting disqualified? Maybe for speeding in the pits

Or, leaving the pits while the exit light is red. Then after a few laps of not serving the penalty you get DQ'd.

Make sure you have the message center enabled in the Display settings, and pay attention to what it's saying - if you receive a penalty you should see it there. There's also a page dedicated to penalties on the HUD.

    Um, maybe.
I'd not seen a notification or any warnings but I was just booting it out onto the track.
I'll have a look for the message centre.
Can you re-arrange the HUD? it's rubbish. Especially in VR, nothing useful is in my field of view.

Is there an auto pit limiter option?

If your car has a pit limiter it's on by default when you get in the car.
