I was testing track loading times in the new RC and they seem to have improved, especially 1st time a track loads. Before I started I removed all files from CBash directory. I have tested 4 tracks so far (Zandvoort, Spa, Monza, Lime Rock Park) and only for Zandvoort I don't see any cbash and rrshf files created in the CBash directory. Is that correct?

They are packed with the track to optimise loading times

Should we delete previous cbash after opting for RC?

No, only zandvoort has the files packed so far. You could delete the zandvoort files to save some disk space if you wanted.

Will it work for future builds? For example if modder adds files now and will not touch track for next couple years. What if something changes in game that requires to rebuilt those files? Can it potentially broke the game? There was problems in past that requires cbash and shaders cleanup.

Thanks for clarifying it. I assume on future S397 track updates these files will be packed by default as well?

If the format changes in the future it will fallback to the old method and rebuild the files
