Most of the time I can't get my latest race to replay. I wait for the replay to load and nothing happens.
I have same problem, I almost never succeed loading a replay. But reinstall is not gonna happen, better to live without replay.
I have the same issue i have a work around that seems to work, if i load the track i have the replay on for a race first (doesnt seem to matter what cars or how many) and then after that load the replay it seems to load ok, its slow but it seems to work and it allows me to continue a race.... eventually
I do the same in devmode. First loading the track (like a normal race/qualifying), for which the replay is, works ok. Loading the replay without first loading the track leads to a instant CTD.
Can you post an example of a replay that doesn't load with the what car and track it uses so we can try it too?
A week ago I tried to load a replay for targa florio stage 1, because the replay was in slowmotion after a lap, and I wanted to record it as a track side video. But the replay would not load. the car was an alpine A110 group H.
FWIW, after reading the posts above, I went and view a Targa replay from Sept. 9 with just the updated Ferrari 512 + about 18 AI. Replay loaded and framerate appeared to match what I had during the drive. That was only 1 lap with the same kind of car. A mixed field for multiple laps may create more stress on the replay system/memory.
i have a 4.5 ghz cpu and 24 gb ram average cpu usage 30-40 % and i get slow motion replay but it is mod specific.studio 397 tracks and studio 397 cars I have never had replay problems nor with other quality mods.often the cause is some collision on track in which CPU usage rises to 100 percent don't know what the fault is in these few modes which are causing this problem. only the mod authors can know. maybe sometimes I could make a list of these modes if that would find a common cause for this problem and could fix it
