My partner's screen freezes in VR OCULUS RIFT CV1, Restart the game, go around the circuit five times and it starts again ..... .... has reinstalled the new game twice, also formatted the Windows 10 and it remains the same .... does anyone know how to fix it?
does the game completely freeze or is it just a short stutter like freeze? for using a 1080 ti you should try nvidia driver 456.98 which is one of the most stable if not most stable driver for VR. I'm using it with a 2070s and a reverb g2 now (aswell with the oculus rift s before) and it works like a charm.

with the error description, its very hard to tell what error it might be. changing the gpu driver, you shoud use a tool called display driver uninstaller (ddu). then install the 456 mentioned above. if the error is not solved, maybe have a look for chipset drivers aswell, might be an USB issue, too, which is another common possible error when something goes wrong with a HMD. try to use another USB port aswell (had to try 3 different ones on my pc when i got the reverb until everything was fine). also have a look for an error log file for your oculus device. i remember there was a file which showed things like bad lighting for tracking, and so on. maybe you get a clue whats going wrong, there. (can't remember where it was located, maybe %appdata%)
I had tried all that, except for the error log, let's see if we can find it, since I don't currently have the oculus and I don't know where to find it but I'll tell you again tonight to see if we can solve it. thank you
It was the USB 3.0 OF THE MOTHERBOARD a Pcie 3.0 ports card was added to the PC and it was solved thanks @Daniel Erstling
Unfortunately the rfactor failed again, please have someone review the file to see if we find the failure please @Lazza
@juanchioooo I don't think a trace file will show anything, because it has nothing directly related to VR. Any issues in it would be apparent on a screen too.

I solve it by installing rfactor 2, on two occasions, the first time it continued to fail, the second time I delete everything, I pass the ccleaner I restart the pc and reinstall it again, I no longer have a problem then installed the open composite
