Hi all! Which kind of racing car have you always dreamed of? I will be so glad to create a dedicated topic to talk more about it, hoping it will interest some of you. So, please feel free to share as much as you want about your dream car. Cheers!
Not 'A' car, but an era. Just before Aero completely took over the Indy 500. You could virtually run anything, front engine, rear engine, heck even JET ENGINES. 4 Cylinder Offenhausers, V8 Fords. With the squared cornered Indianapolis track, hard tires, and not much pushing the car down....wuff! Late '60's, early 70's. Without much live TV, the marketing was done at the retail level. Nearly any store that had any sort of tie-in with the 500 would have all sorts of displays and giveaways for the entire month of May. Like Tahiti, it was a magical time.
Early 60's type touring cars really do it for me. The magic of seeing a big old Jag going up against Lotus Cortina, Mini Cooper, Ford Galaxy and the likes. Amazing variety, incredible sounds and sideways, all the way. Just fantastic.
well in my case the love for cars comes from rallyes, perhaps mid-size cars Porsche 911SC, Alpine A110, Seat (Fiat) 124, Ford Escort MKI & MKII. The 70's - 80's are the best for me
I am in love with Pagani since the day my paper writer wrote me about Super Cars. I am so mesmerized with its futuristic designs and yet they are so classic. Zonda designs were inspired by jet fighters and Sauber-Merc Silver Arrow Group C cars. Huayra's body is made from carbotanium for its light weight composition and was redesigned from the ground up. Pagani Huayra R, Zonda R, Zonda LM Barchetta
