Hi everyone, I have a problem since this morning the moddev finished loading the track resets itself on the steam page, I have been using the new ui for a few weeks so I start moddev from steam but any track I try to start at the end of the loading returns to the page steam initial the game instead works perfectly, the only thing I could do is check the local files with steam but the result doesn't change, do you have any advice to make moddev work again? hopefully because I was working on a new revision that I would like to bring at the end, thanks a lot !!
If you can't easily revert your latest changes, take your stuff out of vehicles and locations folders and try it again. Alternatively just rename the entire moddev folder, verify rF2 files in steam to get a new one, and when you confirm it works start moving your files back in and see when it breaks. Also, have you checked the devmode trace file for errors?
ok, only by returning to beta 1122 before the July update can I make all the tracks work in moddev, for the moment I continue my work and I keep it at 1122 then let's see in the future if it resolves with some updates, anyway thanks for the answer and if anyone has this problem let us know if it resolves!
@Andrea1968 Did you check the trace files? I haven't loaded up a track since the last update so I can't be sure it's working fine for me either, so I won't assume. But if you haven't already check the trace file (might need to add the trace option to your shortcut) as it may provide a clue.
excuse my ignorance but what do you mean by link trace option? could you give a practical example, thanks
i copy here some generic useful rf2 devmod tips About devmod Make sure you haven't .Mas files in your vehicles and locations folder -If you have a mas like brmGMT.mas and brm\GMT\ files too devmod crash -same logic with all other files -i have only sound.Mas in my devmod So move your mas files out of devmod I saw that if i have only one mas file like above Devmod could crash always with all cars and all tracks if your devmod still not work: -try to move off all your projects (cars and tracks) -keep in devmode only skipbarber and Loch Drummond contents -delete moddev/userdata/ dir and files -then try skipbarber at Loch Drummond
Don't you need the .mas files in moddev for those S397 tracks such as Le Mans, Spa & Nurburgring to be edited.
yes, it works, removing the .mas files from the moddev folder everything works, now finally we also have the sky in dev, great, thanks to everyone for the advice
