Hi everyone! I've just faced a weird situation while racing against the AI in a race at Nurburgring (24h layout). The race was hosted in a dedicated server, in my streaming PC. The race can be seen here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1072516064 02:21:20: Pit stop requested 02:21:45: Pit crew is ready 02:22:16: I pit in in the designated spot to me 02:22:21: The Mclaren AI clearly tries to pit at the same spot as me! The R8 that comes behind pits in front of me, while in the meantime the Mclaren damages my ride. 02:22:57 Mclaren finally pits in, in my spot! My race ended at the point. Does anyone have any idea what could have happened? Could it be a bug related to the track itsel, my server configuration or something else? In this link you find a log analyzer report from the race in case there is something usefull in there. Thanks in advance! Cheers, Luiz
you didn't say how many cars you were competing against, but that usually happens when you have more AI cars racing than available pit/garage stalls. I think 99 may be the max available for the 24hr layout. (either that or 106)
Do I have to define pitgroups in the VEH files or is there any other "auto" kind of way to handle that, perhaps in the Multiplayer / player JSON files?
More info is needed. What cars, what track, is it modded, standard, base? The pitgroup works quite well if managed. There are several places where this can be edited; Track, server, rfm and finally also .veh can have a say. What settings do you use on the server?
Cars and tracks available in the server: (S397 GT3's, S397 M2 CS, Mod MX-5, Mod Alpine GT4,) Cars in the grid of this specific race: (all S397 official GT3's, except for 1 Alpine GT4 (when adding the AI into the server my intention was to have a multi class diverse grid, but unfortunately I couldnt manage that so It ended up mostly GT3) Dedicated server launch settings: I also linked below some of the JSON and INI files of the server: MULTIPLAYER.JSON --> LINK PLAYER.JSON --> LINK DEDICATED.INI --> LINK Thank you for the support! /Luiz
So you are using Parking, meaning the dedicated will sort out the garages and pitboxes. However i am not sure how those cars are packed. On top of that, if a there is not enough pitgroups on a track, it WILL force cars to share. I assume that is it. You could in rfm tell the game to try and not do that
