Hi there ! I am using VR. Am I the only one to have the performance metrics stuck to 75fps (74,8 for e.g) ? Moreover the GPU frame time doesn't match the FPS displayed. Even if FPSVR is reporting correct FPS.
Even with my maximum 90fps Oculus Rift, the FPS display of ctrl+F shows around 45fps, which is half of 90fps. Isn't it such a specification?
Yes but I assume you are using retroprojection don't you? I'm using my Pimax Artisan in 90Hz mode without any reprojection feature activated, so is reporting FPSVR. And previously this feature was working perfectly, displaying 90fps as expected
I use pimax 8k plus, with parallel projection activated in the json player, in lemans it goes between 80 and 85 fps
Alright, but is the feature ctrl+F displays the right FPS ? My problems is that FPS metrics doesn't show the real FPS I have
Okay, so now issue is fixed. I've juste done a pending windows update then the tool is working fine now ! Really strange...
Hi there ! Don't know why, but I have the issue again. Same drivers or updates for everything. Same behaviour on screen only btw. Anyone has the same ? FPS are capped to 90fps in player.json
Thanks to this topic, I was able to address my Rift issue. I didn't know Rift's ASW. Previously, the default settings didn't cause any problems. But since the new UI, my rFactor 2 sometimes doesn't look smooth on Rift. Considering the mechanism of Auto ASW, my PC spec is not enough , so it was always below 45fps, and ASW worked and it was displayed smoothly at pseudo 90fps. But maybe because the video processing of rFactor 2 has improved, when it exceeds 45fps, ASW may not work and it may not be displayed smoothly. Therefore, I changed ASW to forced ON. This made it look as smooth as before ! But this is not the perfect solution. Because ASW is reset every time I start Oculus. That's why I created a shortcut to turn on ASW with one click. My ideal is to find a way to keep the ASW on without any click, or get a powerful GPU that always delivers 90fps even when the ASW is off. Thank you this topic for people in the same situation.
Great you have found a solution for your issue ! ASW is a great feature but unfortunately is doesn't work properly with my Pimax, it generates some artifacts makes it uncomfortable in simracing. An by the way I didn't solve my issue. rF2 is still stuck to 75fps...
asw on Pimax does not run as smoothly as on oculus rift S after update release candidate works worse than FPS
