My installation, last beta, was working fine and stop working, "crashing"/exiting to desktop after a few seconds with rF2 logo. Before that start to happen, I was installing a few tracks in rfcmp files, located in packages folder (auto installation). No wheel connected to the system in those multiple start, view track, (sometimes, going to track to see AI doing a lap), exiting the game cycles (if that matters). rF2 (reinstalled today after testing stable build, with same result): View attachment 39183 System specs: W10 10700K GTX1080 Thrustmaster TS-PC (Ferrari 488 Challenge wheel) Thrustmaster T-LCM
Care to share? So that if someone is having the same problem you may have the solution for them? Or perhaps a route to getting a possible bug squashed?
Not really... don't know what I did Really, the problem should reside in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\UserData\player, perhaps something in LocalStorage subfolder (like a corrupted database, files left open/locked, etc.), but after making it work didn't do much more since all settings where recovered. One thing I didn't like in this process - since I start by "deleting" UserData (really just renamed it), the setup sequence was like a new instalation but I couldn't get wheel or pedals to work and they were visible in controllers: I recovered my controllers old setup so all good after all. I deleted the trace file but it was fine until the end of loading DLL process. The first missing lines were those below: Code: ...... 11.37s cubeDirectX1 6092: Video Mode W: 640 H: 480 R: 60 11.37s cubeDirectX1 6092: Video Mode W: 640 H: 480 R: 60 11.37s cubeDirectX1 6092: Video Mode W: 640 H: 480 R: 72 .....
This is what I suspected went wrong... normal directory, game not running... It would be nice to have some S397 feedback
