Run as Administrator worked - gave it to both MAS2 and MAS-x64. In the Packages folder my rfcmp is 2,789 KB, yours is 20 KB??
What did you put into it and is it installable? 2,789 Kb sounds very few or is it 2,789 Mb? And which MASTool did you use, 32 or 64 bit?
I think you should contact the mod creator and have them include a 2nd steering box with enough lock to complete the turn. It should work like the Le Mans Aero upgrade, Every car, when driving at one of the two Monaco's. is forced to use the Cote steering box.
I used the MASx64bit for my W10 64bit. 2789 and 20KB. Installed OK, launched game. In content/packages I have your SteerLock and my Monaco package. In the game car selection is just my car mod, SteerLockoption is no longer there.
Which Files did you put into the MAS File for your Update rfcmp? I only put the modified HDV File into my Update, so i suppose that you did put some more Files into it. And yes @davehenrie, to directly ask the Modder, to add a necessary Modification, is always the best Choice.
Some success. Just did the HDV on its own and increased to 30%. Games is fine. But... In Content /Packages both mods are listed: But in the car selection, only the latest one is listed. How do I see both in the car selection?? And next topic is edit dash to include Lap Delta. I'll start a new topic.
If you want that both cars appear in the menu, you'll have to change the "Category" parameter of your .VEH file For example, in the case of the Kimi ones From Category="F1 2020 - A&M - Single Player, Alfa Romeo" To Category="F1 2020 - A&M - Single Player - Steer, Alfa Romeo"
As you will have noticed, this modding is all new to me. In the .mas F1_AM_2020_TEAMS there are two sets of .VEH files for each car/driver. A multiplayer file RAIKKONEN_VEH and a single player ....NEN_SP_VEH. I can't see in those files where there is a reference to the steering lock mod currently displayed in post 28?? Is the latest mod automatically displayed?? Does one have to have a separate VEH file for each mod rather than a more than one Category in a .VEH file??
The whole Thing is a bit more "complicated". As said above, the best Way to get it included, is to contact the Authors of the Mod. For a private Version and if you want to have different Locks like e.g. +25%, +27%, +30% or something similar, i would suggest to use the Upgrade Files and only 1 Update rfcmp. With the 2 Upgrade rfcmp for the same Mod, that both have a modified HDV with the same File Name, you can not get both working in an quick and easy Way.
I tried just uninstalling the 2 mods in Content/Packages and back to clattering into hairpin barriers. Appeared to be original steering lock. Then reinstalled 1 mod, and got round hairpin OK. So seems to be a simple way of using mod or not?? Unless I've got it all wrong??
Yes, that's OK. But if you use 2 Updates with the same updated File(s), you can not get both working at the same Time.
