Hello sim racers! A new build update for rFactor 2 has been released - find out about all the changes on the website link below: - https://www.studio-397.com/2021/05/released-new-rfactor-2-build-update-available/ - Enjoy the update, and see you out on the track!
Added Auto Blip, Auto Lift, Hold Brakes, Hold Clutch, Repeat Shifts, Start Engine, Auto Wipers and Auto Headlight settings to difficulty screen Finally For players: all off otherwise no enjoy
In cars that have Auto-Blip we can disable it? Or only in cars that don't have it standard? Also, what is Hold Brakes, Hold Clutch and Repeat shifts for? Can you detail a bit about this? Thanks!
It means in standing starts it holds these pedals for you until you hit one of them or put a gear. Repeat shifts is a protection against accidental double shifting, if you activate it there is a minimum time between two gear changes.
i switched to the rfactor standard release but the client didnt update anything but the new changes are here for me........ weird how can it be ?
You was on Release Candidate before? I believe "NONE" and "RC" are the same at the moment. Am I right, @Paul Jeffrey ?
@mesfigas yea, the next RC isnt available yet. if you were using the RC already, then it won't update. your fine.
@B.Gant so from RC to NONE means no update yes ? Which also means there is no NEW update ? can someone explain ? RC didnt update anything and switching to NONE means NO NEW DATA to update rf2 so what ia all about ?
scroll to the last paragraph and read. the new RC isnt ready yet. All people who were using the RC before are already on the build thats been released today. https://www.studio-397.com/2021/05/released-new-rfactor-2-build-update-available/
The new Public build is available on the standard release branch of rFactor 2 within Steam (Betas – None). Players can chose to opt into this build version by right-clicking on rFactor 2 in the Steam Library list, selecting options – betas – none from the drop-down list. i switched to this but no data downloaded dont repeat yourself please
Correct! Everything you read in this "update" you were already using in the RC. It's only an update for people who were not using the RC. There's no new RC yet, so right now the standard and RC versions are identical. Let go of the headline.
Perhaps S397 could help lessen the confusion a little by titling the build releases along the lines of “Stable Build Update” and “RC Build Update” @Paul Jeffrey
Very very nice! Who still claims rF2 is dead? Keep it up S397! Bring the giant to life in all its facets! Count me in!
It doesn't state "Release Candidate Build..." so title is fine. It even reads in the announcement "moving the existing ‘Release Candidate’ build of rFactor 2 into the main public branch of the software"
The AI is still on it guys! Yeah But take it easy, at the moment I'm chilling out in the garden! Hehe yes, the world does not revolve around me! I am very pleased. Thank you thank you thank you. rF2 is the best!
I really like racing with sun and standing water, to see lap after laps the track line drying. in ACC, we can go for a practice or race session with standing water and sun, very easily, we can configure the weather, cloud cover, the wetness, the standing water, the precipitation, all with sliders. How can we do this in rF2 very easily for a unique practice session without waiting 30 mins ???? All seems to be very very long and tricky. The new UI needs more and more features now.... I can help to add this into the code.
A workaround you have now is go to dev mode, where you can set the amount of water on track you want and save the real road file. But yes, it would be nice to have this feature also in non dev-mode and also set any amount of wet in dedicated or wet file.
