Not sure if anyone else has experienced this?

While racing online last night in the Aston Martin GT3
i was experiencing what felt like aero wash when another
vehicle was following closely behind me?
The car would feel as if the tyres had overheated or had
"fallen over the cliff" of tyre wear & the car would understeer
through corners and be very slippery through the rear end.

Once the car that was behind me was either in front of me
or had dropped back sufficiently this weird physics issue disappeared again.
Only occurred when the following car was within a few car lengths, but not
    necessarily under the rear wing.

At first I thought it was the tyres going off. When it happened the second time I thought I must have been over-driving the car because I was under pressure? I made sure the next time I was within my driving capabilities & it happened again! By the fifth time it happened i was pretty sure it wasn't me stuffing up, so there has to be another issue?

I can understand getting some disturbance from a car in front of me & even
if we're racing side-by-side, but from behind???

The air bubble created by the trailing car is possibly extending up an over your rear wing, which would stall any downforce that should be generated

Obbzy you are experiencing aero wash. We thought the same, maybe a bug, with the GTE that effect is happening. It's not a bug as it is always there which makes for great racing. One very noticeable aero wash was in the Indy car race we ran on Saturday at Indy race track. The following car need to time their run right so as they come up on the lead car to give small distance heading into the corners. Then you could used the draft on the straight to pass. Lets hope they don't remove it. Cheers.

I would suggest also not removing it, but reducing the forward aero wash so that it allows drafting but not impacting the lead car so much.

Yep, certainly a possibility I suppose.
It was still occurring when they were a little further back (perhaps 2 cars lengths).
Wouldn't think the aero forces of the following car would affect the lead car so much,
or at all, from that distance? If they are tucked up under the rear wing, perhaps?
