Hello sim racers! Today we have deployed a new hotfix update to the Ligier JS P217 LMP2 car in rFactor 2. Find out what is new on the release post here - https://www.studio-397.com/2021/05/released-ligier-js-p217-v1-17-update/
This is what Paul has to look forward to with all the typing he is going to be doing in the coming months. Keep the updates coming
I've noticed one tiny flaw still with the Lige. Driving the #39, there is a small rectangle near the nose which allows the ground to bleed through. Almost directly in front of the driver at the leading edge. I 'thought' the graphic was grey, then, I noticed the 'grey' matched the asphalt color. So, for science's sake, I drove off into the grass and the grey turned green. This was at Road Atlanta, I'll double check with a S397 updated track.
Great that the missing underbody issue is finally fixed But there is some "clipping throught the carbody/roof" visible in VR. @Paul Jeffrey Maybe you could report this to the devs
When you say clipping is it when you move your head close to the side or just turn it? LMP cockpits are very tight so if you move too close that's what will usually happen in VR.
It clips when i turn my head up and to the right - no moving ot the head. Using HP Reverb G1 For comparison: Oreca is fine. There is no clipping when turning my head to the left
ligier at cocpit view has a weird angle out of the front window which makes me wonder if the real car looks so ugly i talk about the picture that forum member @davehenrie has allready post it looks terrible
I think there was some sideways motion that may have thrown my head over to the left some, looks like I'm not aligned doesn't it. I also noticed another blank spot just to the right of my arrow. For some reason I was thinking that was vent or gap, but looking at it again, missing or transparent texture. I gotta repeat this test at Silverstone. Road Atlanta may have some conflicting materials. (just a guess)
