Good choice to update this track.

A suggestion : one of the best choice to update a track will be to update Atlanta MP.

And any improvement on the good Nordschleife + Nurburgring is welcome. Love this track.

I know that is not your tracks, but seriously Ibarra + ViR from REIZA DESERVE a PBR update ASAP!!!!

You are correct about those other tracks. It is completely up to Reiza to update the tracks. They have a fairly heavy workload with their own sim so who knows WHEN those will arrive.(last year they 'hoped' to be able to offer graphic updates near the end of 2020. well......)

    Yes, very good looking.
    Unfortunately AI are terrible!
I just done a quick try with Porsche GT3 Cup on Uphill chicane version and 15AI, they literally crash at every corner (except T1).
Impossible to use it offline at his moment.

Back when the GT3 cars first came out, I tried them several times at Lime Rock, the only really problematic corner was at the top of the hill, cars would drop a wheel and careen to the other side of the track. I'll take a gander at the new improved LR and see if it's worse or the same for me.

Thanks s397, nice & big update
USF 17 still flying on the no chicane version (with default setp), is it normal?

Had a similar issue with the Porsche GTE. Also for the first seven or so laps a car was crashing in the final turn every lap.
Other than that and the wheelie, looks and drives great.:)

I ran the full chicane version with very minimal bumping and rubbing. 24 GT3 cars(OOPS, just now noticed the CUP) all the various makes stayed on track thru 10 laps with nary a spin-off to be seen. Marc_G always suggesting replacing...I think it was the Player.json....with a fresh version if you are suffering AI issues. Perhaps you could give that a try. Back up your current player.json and then delete it. Let Steam download a fresh copy and then test the AI again.

Now that's a big improvement, thank you S397!
Just had Porsche Cup (13 AI), no chicane, no problems here.

A sublime update to an older track showing the skills of the track artists at S397.

Please keep updating the older tracks to the levels of Portland, Lime Rock etc. and I'll keep buying DLC to support you.

Strangely, I don't have any problem with the "no chicane" version . So yes, it's probably time to refresh my player.json. :)

I drove (not AI) several of the official content GT3 and GTE cars along with the Alpine Cup and GT4 cars on the no chicane layout and the front end significantly comes off the ground over the hill, like shown above with the USF17. This was with default setups on the old version of the track. I haven't tried it with the new version yet.

Considering IMSA runs GTD and GTLM cars here, it doesn't seem like this should be happening.

IMSA runs with the chicane just before the hill to slow down the cars. Back in the 80s that wasn't the case, so things like popping a wheelie was the usual stuff.

Thanks. I had checked previously and wikipedia seemed to indicate they run the no chicane layout. At least based on the displayed track map:

We can't be sure, but I don't see a reason why they wouldn't honestly.
