    Steering entries in the [CONTROLS] are not all original. Turnslocktolock for example we modified it recently. Before we also had, in addition to the "slow" and "fast" options, a "medium" option. I remember editing so that both "slow" and "fast" were closer to "medium", but that was a long time ago and I don't think I remember any vibrations arising from this. I'm going to try to find the default values, see if that's how it works, but I would swear not.

    I imagine you mean edit in the chassis.ini right? Thanks to all for the help. Unfortunately I have a month in which I have not been able to open the pc to test all this. I hope to be available soon to put your advice into practice :)

    I have found the old CONTROLS values

    Code:
    SteeringShaftBaseLeft=(0.002182,0.16344,0.054305)
    SteeringShaftBaseRight=(0.002182,0.16344,0.054305)
    SteeringShaftAxis=(0.019443,0.722817,0.690766)
    SteeringInnerTable=(-0.03836,0.15817,0.06043):(-0.03721,0.17782,0.04052)
    SteeringInnerTable=(-0.01732,0.13892,0.07976):(-0.03691,0.1532,0.06575)
    SteeringInnerTable=(0.01696,0.13624,0.08185):(-0.01103,0.13624,0.08264)
    SteeringInnerTable=(0.0429,0.15181,0.06539):(0.02414,0.13761,0.08055)
    SteeringInnerTable=(0.04417,0.17584,0.04073):(0.04645,0.15646,0.06081)
    SteerLockCaption="STEERING RATIO"
    SteerLockRange=(16.2, 4, 3)
    SteerLockSpecial=(0,"Slow"," (~4.7:1)",)
    SteerLockSpecial=(1,"Med"," (~3.9:1)","SteeringInnerTable=(-0.04434,0.15853,0.06027):(-0.04319,0.17818,0.04035):(-0.02169,0.13614,0.08279):(-0.04128,0.15042,0.06877):(0.01696,0.13209,0.08619):(-0.01103,0.13209,0.08697):(0.04727,0.14895,0.06833):(0.02851,0.13474,0.0835):(0.05016,0.17609,0.04046):(0.05244,0.1567,0.06053)")
    SteerLockSpecial=(2,"Fast"," (~3.3:1)","SteeringInnerTable=(-0.05033,0.15889,0.0601):(-0.04918,0.17854,0.04019):(-0.02606,0.13335,0.08581):(-0.04564,0.14763,0.0718):(0.01696,0.12795,0.09052):(-0.01103,0.12795,0.09131):(0.05164,0.14608,0.07127):(0.03288,0.13188,0.08644):(0.05615,0.17633,0.04018):(0.05842,0.15695,0.06026)")
    These values are like this now

    Code:
    SteeringShaftBaseLeft=(0.002182,0.16344,0.054305)
    SteeringShaftBaseRight=(0.002182,0.16344,0.054305)
    SteeringShaftAxis=(0.019443,0.722817,0.690766)
    SteeringInnerTable=(-0.03836,0.15817,0.06043):(-0.03721,0.17782,0.04052)
    SteeringInnerTable=(-0.01732,0.13892,0.07976):(-0.03691,0.1532,0.06575)
    SteeringInnerTable=(0.01696,0.13624,0.08185):(-0.01103,0.13624,0.08264)
    SteeringInnerTable=(0.0429,0.15181,0.06539):(0.02414,0.13761,0.08055)
    SteeringInnerTable=(0.04417,0.17584,0.04073):(0.04645,0.15646,0.06081)
    SteerLockCaption="STEERING RATIO"
    SteerLockRange=(16.2, 4, 2) // (16.2, 4, 2)
    SteerLockSpecial=(0,"Slow"," (~4.7:1)",)
    SteerLockSpecial=(1,"Fast"," (~3.9:1)","SteeringInnerTable=(-0.04434,0.15853,0.06027):(-0.04319,0.17818,0.04035):(-0.02169,0.13614,0.08279):(-0.04128,0.15042,0.06877):(0.01696,0.13209,0.08619):(-0.01103,0.13209,0.08697):(0.04727,0.14895,0.06833):(0.02851,0.13474,0.0835):(0.05016,0.17609,0.04046):(0.05244,0.1567,0.06053)")

    I'll try as soon as I can :) hope it helps if someone wants to try before me

    Now that I see it there don't seem to be any changes.
    I thought it might be yes, but no ...

    @sangreone use CODE tags to avoid them. It's under the + .

    I've tried what Jokeri says. I have brought the "suspension" closer to the wheels and the problem of the ffb braking has disappeared, but the turning of the wheels has completely changed and the behavior of the kart has been distorted. The angle the wheels take when turning the steering wheel has been drastically reduced.

    Maybe I can get back the missing spin by tweaking the CONTROLS values I set earlier.

    I've been experimenting a bit more. Effectively the mantasisg and Jokeri method eliminates the ffb error, but the mod loses all the realism in the turns. It is not a valid solution for me.

    If I remove the CONTROLS values related to steering wheel turn the result is even worse. Modifying them I manage to increase the previously lost spin, but the loss of feeling of driving a kart is still disappointing.

    I consider trying to fix it by modifying the controller.json (I don't know if it's possible) and simply advising the mod users of the changes.

    You may get away with reducing the FFB strength when at rest (sorry, can't remember the parameter name, defaults to 0.3 I think).

    I guess this stems from the leverage the wheel has on the steering system, and presumably an accelerated steering input at higher lock done with those inner table entries, but I haven't tried to graph those or the whole geometry. Did you make any actual geometry (suspension, steering arm) changes at the front end?

    Lowering the scrub radius is very un-kartlike, since it's that exaggerated lifting action that allows turning with the solid rear axle.

    The very rigid tyre response at low speed is usually masked more in normal cars, only some strange scrub sounds with spool diffs normally. Like parking on polished concrete :)

    Regarding the ISI kart, no changes were made to the front geometry. I imagine you mean that. The only thing that changed, that may have something in common, is the ability to configure WheelTrackRange, but the problem in the ffb was before this change.

    Thank you all for your wisdom so far :)

    In Controller.json, the line "Steering torque zero-speed mult": 0.45, must be edited as "Steering torque zero-speed mult": 0.1,

    The oscillation of the ffb when we press the brake disappears. The ffb when you lock the brake is still a bit exaggerated, but I am not the one to decide it, it is the real pilots who should comment on this.
