I am not entirely sure about "capitalistic rules" thing. I would suggest that all these big corporations has some blend of worst capitalistic and communistic values. I would say F1 perhaps is way more socialistic than capitalistic the way it works. That is why we witness everything being governed to such soulless and dull levels. The decisions being made are greedy and synthetic, while it is being camouflaged behind fake woke virtue signaling. Sadly this kind of spirit, or no-spirit, is slowly taking over whole industries, not just motorsports and sports. It has a lot to do with decline of manliness and common sense.

We have been taught for years now about how masculinity is toxic, and never about how lack of masculinity is even more toxic. Just look at F1 drivers how they are taught to be as careful as possible with the things they say. It is scary and uncomfortable. These days they are probably in more danger to say something wrong than to suffer from a crash. In the past they could have had been themselves the whole time. And now the fear of being different, being called out and disliked has so much impact on people, I can't agree it is a feature of capitalism, on the contrary it is socialism making everything as monolithic and controllable as possible, and obeying equally to ridiculous unwritten rules, because standing out is unacceptable.

It's impossible to talk about this when trying to make simplifications like "oH nO tHiS eViL cApItALiSm"
There is a lot that happens to make things as they are. When it's about cars tech advancements count way more than anything else. The "era of discovery" ended. Even EVs being "new" don't feel like bringing back a new era of discovery so if you think F1 has no passion this will not change for you. I suggest going to watch amateur racing.
Who are you to judge if someone has passion or not anyway?
And what the heck does F1 have to do with the poor?
Btw Bernie, while making questionable decisions, is a bloody genious. Especially after keeping F1 growing during the 2008 crisis. The guy almost bought F1 back paying less than half of what he sold it for lmao

    Phylosofic answer..
Poor girl and guys in that picture. ...sure lol
It is and always has been and always will be a elite sport.
And motorsport in general is not for the poor, you either need a very well paid job, family wealth or a generous sponsor.
Henri Ford earned his wealth and opportunities in motorsport with hard work and great ideas, designing and manufacturing cars for the working class.
Maybe not very romantic... but he definitely did not give them away.

I would trade my 100 years for his 45 any day.
Heck, I would trade all my life for only one year of his life.
