Second build and still here. For information this bug came last in beta UI version. During a long time beta doesn't have this.
New build out yesterday did it fix it? I’m sticking with the old UI because the black line border thing really kills the immersion. My favourite track is Silverstone and when going through the loop section it’s always there distracting and annoying me. I really like the new UI, but switched back to the old UI to avoid the black line.
Yes still here, too. I don't know why they push a bug that was come last in beta version ? I don't know why they don't give some news about that... maybe they don't care about
Hi @Christopher Elliott is there any update on this? I keep see people asking on discord and the like but we don't seem to have any acknowledgement if this is still being fixed? Thanks!
back to PC & VR & sim racing after a couple of years break, rfactor2 1st race sim i start & yes a weird annoying thin black box that wasn’t present 2 years ago )-:
New build out last night, I won’t be near my pc until the weekend. I’m guessing the black line border is still present? As of last weekend I’m now forced to use the new UI, because the old UI performance has tanked in VR especially at Nords, Spa and Sebring. So many judders in the old UI that even dropping down graphic settings, I still get awful stutters around these three tracks. I’m now given the options of no black line but a bunch of stutters or I can have butter smooth higher graphic settings, but with a thin black picture frame annoying me. A fix was promised approx three builds ago?
I was so happy yesterday when I read the graphics section, in the latest build release update. I loaded it up last night and I can now drive around Silverstone happily again. I’d go as far to say that it’s now completely gone and better than the old UI in VR. Can’t wait for it to come out of RC build and into public build.
That is correct! The VR black line issue has been resolved in release candidate only. Once the current RC has been fully completed and stabilised, it will then move over to be the new public build. In the mean time, change to RC in properties and say goodbye to the black line borders in VR!
