    Greetings.
Since a few days ago, a colleague, can't start rFactor 2.
Continuously appears a Steam window indicating that rF2 is going to start with parameters and asks to accept.
No parameters are assigned, however, when accepting it shows again this window, each time with more parameters not indicated.

Specifically, the line it displays is:
    " +path=".." +workshopsync "
The second time it is accepted it shows:
    " +path=".." +workshopsync +path=".." +workshopsync

    Actions performed:
    - Clean install
    - Test on all versions (old UI, betas, stable...)

Can anyone help us to solve this problem?
    Thanks.

    Run steam as admin.

    Thank you Goanna.
I have also tried as administrator, in Windows 7 compatibility mode, I have given all permissions to the folders....
The problem comes from those phantom parameters.
In other installations that window is not shown.
Let's see if someone can think of something, or an administrator can help us.

Those parameters are always used. I don't understand the mechanism, but normally steam runs it fine with them. Fixes include many things from setting steam to run as admin (or not), setting the game to run as admin (or not), restarting steam, restarting the PC, and the list goes on. If you search for that message you'll find many questions/answers/solutions across many different games.

@Brutten What you also can try, is to only start Steam and then start rFactor 2 with a Shortcut of the rFactor2.exe, that is located in the Folder ..\rFactor 2\Bin64.
If you did create the Shortcut and before you use it, rightclick on it and select "Properties".
Then remove \Bin64 from the Path in the Field "Execute in" and click OK to save it.
Then start rFactor 2 by a Doubleclick on that Shortcut
    Maybe that solves the Problem.

    Thank you Lazza and redapg.

All these actions have been performed without success.
I will try to remove the "Execute in" line, it is the only thing I have not done.

What strikes me is that in no other installation shows that window if rfactor is invoked from Steam.

I usually start rF2 with a shortcut configured to access our server with a specific JSON. In this case it shows the window with the assigned parameters (to my taste annoying and with no way to avoid showing the window).

The anomalous behavior is that it shows that window always staying in loop when it is accepted.
I am still looking for a solution...

@Brutten Don't remove the whole Entry in the Field "Execute in", remove ONLY \Bin64 ;)

    @redapg

    Thanks for the suggestion.
I have succeeded in getting my friend to be able to start rF2.
It is not the definitive solution but...
