Hello. After the recent event I decided to give this track a go after a long time. I noticed, however, that the buildings are pretty bugged, turning black: Which building turns black changes as time goes on... these buildings were all right at the start of the session and after 3 laps they got to this state. I already tried reinstalling the package, as well as I deleted the shaders and cbash for this track in UserData/Log. Any help appreciated.
I get this in VR all the time. It's been reported in the past. Fortunately it appears to have no effect on racing. They did fix recently the holes in the wall at New York where the AI would get stuck and spend the entire race (just before the hairpin).
Huge effect on immersion though... I was also surprised because I did not see it during the official race, but it happened instantly as I fired it up. Tried different times of day as well.
Hello Alex! Thanks for putting effort to troubleshoot my issues. I have most of my settings at Ultra or High. I am running: - AMD Ryzen 5 2600 - AMD RX 5700 XT on latest drivers (it was the same on December drivers) - 16GB DDR4 RAM - rF2 installed on SSD I did some testing, disabling a some graphical settings. And found two issues. For starters, FXAA or Post Processing had no effect. By disabling both reflection settings I could get rid of the black building artifacts. Video with one of the reflection settings on: By disabling the reflection settings, I still get strange "shading pop-ins" on buildings, regardless of the Shadow and Shadow Blur setting. Shown here: (Look at the top left edge of the screen in the beginning, towards the middle, look at the right side, in the last second look at the building right in front.) It would be interesting to see if it's an AMD specific issue. I did not see such artifacts on other tracks. If I do, I will report. I will be eager to hear from you.
@Alex Sawczuk I have same kind of issue with building on Circuit D'Azur track. Windows are flickering same way on left building, just after tunnel. I have Nvidia RTX 2080 card. I will check Hong Kong tomorrow, if same thing happens to me.
Just to add to my report on flickering at Hong Kong...I, too, run an AMD graphics card (Vega64) with Lenovo headset.
Hello @Alex Sawczuk, not trying to hurry anyone, just want to ask if a solution was found in your internal development builds.
After today's content update I can report that the issue is gone. Thank you developers! Marked thread as solved.
