when i say in europe, that s because these pliots have took their licence in england or italian, and drive for team in f1 Surely, they are americans and that s a big consideration for their choice

Well, not from America originally so maybe it doesn't fit the OPs request but for a non Nascar American series driver.... Scott Dixon should be mentioned with the all time greats. His Indycar championships, 6 I believe, is an awesome record for a competitive series with largely equal cars and a very talented set of drivers.
